Publish notes

Publish Markdown notes to public pages, manage pretty URLs, configure site styling, and remove public access.

Publish a note

  • Open Notes.
  • Open the Markdown note you want to share and use the publish action.
  • Choose an expiration setting, then publish the page.
  • Copy the pretty URL from the publish dialog or the Publishing manager.

Publishing is for Markdown notes on cloud storage roots. Agent-backed notes cannot be published because public pages need storage that Filestor can serve without the agent session.

Site style

  • Open the Publishing manager in Notes.
  • Choose a site theme, accent color, font, and default color scheme.
  • Set whether published pages show the "Published with Filestor" footer.

URLs

  • Set a handle for pretty Filestor URLs.
  • Configure a verified custom domain when you want your own hostname.
  • Use Custom domains for the DNS setup path.

Unpublish

Unpublish a note when the public page should stop resolving. Revoked or unpublished pages stop exposing the note content.
